Dosage of Hydrolysed Collagen Peptides Powder

After a period of sickness (IBS) with consequent poor ingestion and absorption of lots of foodstuffs, I noticed my skin was drier and wrinklier than before, especially around the neck. I have put on a lot of weight whilst being partially sub nourished and finally, I pulled a leg muscle whilst walking my dogs. This seemed to indicate to me that, amongst other vitamins, minerals, enzymes and probiotics I had to compensate the lack of via supplementation, I also needed to take amino acid supplements. I started taking Weightworld’s collagen peptides (it’s combination of both 18 essential and non-essential aminoacids for less than £0.30/ intake was the best value for money I have found for equivalent products in the market) combined with another supplement of just the 9 essential aminoacids. I take only 1 scoop of Weightworld’s collagen peptides, which contributes with 8%, 9% and 11% of the RDI for Isoleucine, Leucine and Valine (BCAAs, responsible for muscle recovery), respectively. This product also contributes to your diet with the 2.3 g, 1.23 g and 2.07 g of the Collagen Building blocks Glycine, Hydroxyproline and Proline, respectively. They help form skin, muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments, and other connective tissues. No RDI for these exist as far as I know, but I can tell only these quantities work in considerably re-plumping saggy, wrinkly, dry skin. I also felt considerably better from my leg, going back to normal walking after only 1.5 weeks, using nothing but aminoacids, LED red and infrared light therapy and swimming. Since the powder clumps up with water and juice, I drink it with hot chocolate (mix with tepid, not actually hot water).
